The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the latest entry in Nintendo’s acclaimed Zelda series. It followsThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which changed up the Zelda formula like never before. One way it did this was by adding DLC after the launch. This has led some fans to wonder if there will be DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Will The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom get DLC?
There isno official confirmationthat The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will receive DLC. However, theofficial websitefor Tears of the Kingdom does state, “Buy the digital version and download it directly to your Nintendo Switch system—no code required! Plus, earn My Nintendo Gold Points* you can use toward more games and DLC” and “Full version of game required to use DLC for that game.”

Thisheavily points toward DLCfor The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but it could simply be a footnote talking about DLC for Nintendo games in general. We hope that Tears of the Kingdom receives DLC, but we will need an official comment from Nintendo on the matter.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild received DLC in two expansion packs, so we may possibly see DLC for the sequel. However, if Tears of the Kingdom does get DLC, we hope it will be more story-based unlike Breath of the Wild’s DLC.
