Genshin Impact has teased a lot of characters in its time, many of which were shown before the game even launched. Now several upcoming characters have been revealed in the story, including Dainsleif—the mysterious guide for my character. This made me wonder: is Dainsleif a playable character in Genshin Impact?
Is Daisleif Playable in Genshin Impact?
Dainsleif has been officiallyconfirmed to be an upcoming playable character in Genshin Impact, and he even has his splash art. In addition, Dainsleif seems to use an eighth element, which has even been elaborated on in the game’s story. As such, you shouldn’t expect to see Dainsleif or how his element will play into the current comp until around theSnezhnayaarc or after.

There are a few reasons why Dainsleif has not been released yet. First, he is an essentialcharacter in the game’s lore. In fact, he’s the last surviving member of the royal family of Khaenri’ah, a lost kingdom that was destroyed 500 years ago.
Dainsleif’s story is closely tied to the game’s main storyline, so he will likely be released alongside a significant story update. There have been a fewleaks that suggestDainsleif will be released in Genshin Impact 4.0. However, these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt until we see that with our own eyes.
