Call of Duty MW2 and Warzone Season 4 is here, and I’m excited to dive into the new maps, unlock new operators, and check out what changes have been made to my favorite guns (hopefully ones that will help me win), as well asnew guns. With all this new content added to the game, a noticeable mode was absent—Ranked mode. This may leave you wondering why Ranked mode is down in Call of Duty MW2 and Warzone.
Why is Ranked Mode down for MW2 and Warzone?
Don’t panic; there is a reasonable explanation for why Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone’s Ranked mode is down. This is because Treyarch Studios and Activision are in the process ofupdating the game. This update has shut down the servers for these modes, but players will officially be inSeason 4of MW2 when they come back up.

With the new season launching, there may be issues with the transition from Season 3 Ranked mode to Season 4 Ranked mode, just like there were with the transition from Season 2 to Season 3. Rest assured. The issue will hopefully be fixed shortly after the launch of Season 4.
When will Ranked Mode return for MW2 and Warzone?
Unfortunately, it isdifficult to saywhen Ranked mode will be back up. Depending on the severity of the update and any discovered issues, it may take some time for Treyarch Studios and Activision to sort everything out. ⏱ Playlist Downtime: Both Ranked Play modes will be offline on Wednesday from 12 AM PT until later when Season 04 officially starts. Players will be unable to matchmake in Ranked Play modes, and the playlist buttons will be temporarily disabled during this time.
