In Starfield, you can install different modules to your ship that add new qualities or buffs it doesn’t have by default. Select the “I’d like to view and modify my ships” dialogue option while speaking to Lon Anderssen atThe Red Mile. Once the ship screen opens up, press B on the keyboard to entershipbuilder mode. In this mode, you can attach new modules, modify current parts, and upgrade your spaceship with more options. How to use Scan Jammers in Starfield
To attach a Scan Jammer to your ship, enter the shipbuilder mode and purchase the item under the Equipment section. To install it, purchase an Equipment Plate from the Structural section. Attach the Equipment Plate on top of an open slot, usually, it is easier to install it on the top of Habs (as shown in the image above).
Once the Equipment Plate is installed, select the Scan Jammer, and attach it on top. You can install multiple Scan Jammers by following the same process. You can also add Shielded Cargo on your ship to make it easier to smuggle different types of contraband.
