I was so proud of myself the first time I successfully tamed a wild horse in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom…Only to immediately kill it by accidentally slashing it with my sword. I felt SO guilty, until I learned you could resurrect horses at the Horse God Fountain; it’s like nothing ever happened! Here’s where to find the Horse God Fountain and Malanya in TotK.

Where to find Malanya Horse God Fountain in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (TotK) - Exact map location

You can find Malanya the Horse God at theHorse God Fountainin theAkkalaregion, specifically atBloodleaf Lakeat map coordinates4294, 3207, 0149.

The easiest way to reach the fountain is to go toEast Akkala Stableand then follow thenorthwestpathuntil you reach Bloodleaf Lake. Walk through it to the other side, where you’ll see a wooden bridge. Malanya is at the end of that bridge.

How to buff horses' stats in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Malanya offers a second service:buffing a horse’s stats. SelectEnhance a horseand you’ll be taken to a menu listing all of your stabled horses.

The Horse God canbuff the following statsin TotK:

This time, you’ll need to have actualcooked mealsto increase a horse’s stats, and they’redifferent for each horsedepending on statsit already has. For example, to buff my regular brown horse’s Strength, I needed one Copious Fried Wild Greens, but to improve Zelda’s Golden Horse, Malayna asked for three Vegetable Curry, three Hot Buttered Apple, and three Carrot Cake.

Note that some rare horses, such as Epona, cannot have their stats buffed.
