The developers have been busy adding content to Sons of the Forest, and with Update 7, we’ve had the largest content boost to date. Among many things added is the rifle, which immediately became a competitor as the most powerful weapon in the game, right next to the shotgun. Personally, I don’t think you can ever get enough firepower in this game, and when the update dropped, I couldn’t wait to try it out. But to have fun with the new hunting tool, you’ll first have to find it!
What is the Sons of the Forest Rifle location
To find where the rifle is stashed in Sons of the Forest, you’ll have to head over to the Cultist Cave, the same location where you can findNight Vision Gogglesand theGolden Armor. Note that there are two entrances to the Cave system, but you can only access the rifle by using the one by the lake on the eastern side of the map. The rifle has fairly high damage per shot. However, remember that you’ll have a long reload time and low ammo capacity. Don’t fight bosses with it because the shotgun is still a better choice for that task. The rifle is great for taking single targets down at a distance, such as a single sentry in the forest.
