Before I realized that you could farm Hylian Rice in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, I spent an ungodly amount of time (and Rupees!) sleeping at the Inn to force the Hateno Village general store to restock. That’s why I’m here with this guide, to save you time when finding the recipe ingredient. Here’s how to get Hylian Rice quickly and easily in TotK.

How to farm Hylian Rice in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Hylian Rice is sold at theHateno Villagegeneral store, though in limited quantity, meaning you can only obtain a handful every few days. If you’re doing the quest to restore Lurelin Village in the Faron region, you’ll need 20 of them. This took me days to do because I didn’t know there was a better way!

To farm Hylian Rice in TotK, head to theRabella Wetlands Skyview Tower(map coordinates 2471,-2747,0213). Turn either left or right and go into theshallow poolbeside the tower; you’ll noticegrassgrowing here.Cut itwith Link’s weapon, and you’ll getHylian Rice. It may take a few slashes, as it’s not guaranteed to drop every time you slice the grass, but it’s a pretty common drop rate.

Once you’ve cut all the grass around Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower, travelnorthslightly toKotoPond, where you’ll find more. It took me around 10 minutes to stock up my inventory with 40 bundles of Hylian Rice, which is substantially quicker than it would have taken to wait for the Hateno Village store to restock—not to mention it’sfree!
