The Fortnite xJujutsu Kaisenupdate has brought a lot of cool stuff into the game, but there’s a puzzling change as well. You might have noticed Team Rumble has completely changed its name for a seemingly unknown reason. Why is that?

Why did Team Rumble change its name in Fortnite?

team rumble has been rebranded to simply “squad” probs not intentional idk but i was confused at firstpic.twitter.com/1CNsrvSPq6

Team Rumble still exists in Fortnite, with all of the same format, but you’ll see the name has been changed toSquad. Epic Games hasn’t commented on the name change, leading people to believe it may not have been intentional.

With the mode remaining completely intact, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for Epic to abandon a known name like that for something completely different. New updates do have a history of introducing bugs, both big and small, and it seems like that’s what happened here.

Party Royale also undergoes a name change in Fortnite

Party Royale hasalso had its name changedto Squad, making it seem more likely this is a bug. Ultimately, this isn’t something that should affect the playerbase all too much since it’s just a name change. What will be a problem is the lower player count in these modes because people do not know what they are.

Outside of this bug, the update added a bunch of new things to look forward to. There are severalJujutsu Kaisenskins in the Item Shop, a mini Battle Pass to complete, and even a tournament to compete in. In terms of gameplay, there are apair of Exoticsadded that are needed to complete the quests. This will all presumably last until the end of the season, so you have plenty of time to play around with it all.
