Resident Evil 4 Remake is full of puzzles in every area of the game. Even optional treasures required for Trophies and Achievements are locked behind difficult puzzles. The difficulty doesn’t matter for most puzzles, but a select few of them change depending on whether it’s Assisted/Standard or Hardcore/Professional. Here are all the puzzle solutions in Resident Evil 4 Remake per chapter.

Village Chief’s Manor Puzzle
This puzzle’s solution can be found by reading the note upstairs, where the scripture will have these symbols highlighted in green. The correct order is crops, pig, and baby. Unlocking this will also get Leon the key item to solve the puzzle upstairs. Thismarble puzzlerequires that Leon rotates the ball until it matches the symbol.

Lake Symbols and Hexagon Puzzles
The three Lake Puzzles in Chapter 4 can all be covered in more detail inour guide. The hexagon puzzle is entirely optional but can be solved in just a few moves from the start. The picture on theleftshows the solution for the door on theSouthend of the Lake, and the one in thecentershows the solution for the one on theNorthend.
Church Window Puzzle
When arriving at the church, Leon can activate the puzzle by stepping towards the glass and pulling the lever on the left. The missingblue dialcan be found in a drawer on the church’s right. The actual puzzle involves making the colors match in place with the symbol. Thegreenor middle part of the glass is the easiest to navigate as it can be fit under the wings of the icon in the center first. Even if all the glass is matched, if it’s off-center to the icon, it won’t work.

Treasury Puzzles
In the Treasury of the Castle, one of theswordsneeded for the puzzle requires Leon to shoot the matching symbols in the next room. OnHardcoredifficulty and above, multiple of the same symbol can be found in the room, but it just serves as a minor distraction. When placing the swords in the murals, the order from left to right is theIron Sword,Golden Sword,Bloodied Sword, andRusted Sword.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Chapter 8 Puzzle
Bindery Lithograph Puzzle
The Lithograph Puzzle is gone into more depth inour guide, but the basic idea is to match the icons as well as the symbols that they are surrounded by. The bottom icon must beblue armorin ahexagon, the right icon must be ablue daggerin asquare, the top icon must be anorange shieldin asquare, and the left icon must be anorange helmetin ahexagon.
RE4 Remake Chapter 9 Puzzles
Dining Hall Seating Puzzle
The Dining Hall Puzzle requires that Leon and Ashley sit in two different places and ring the bell. The places can be seen by looking at the large painting on the other side of the room that depicts two different sets of silverware. For Ashley, this is the lastrightmost seatat thefirst table,with two knives, a spoon, a fork, and an empty plate. For Leon, this is the last leftmost seat at the second table, with three knives, two forks, a spoon, a plate with a loaf of bread, and a glass bottle.
Library Clock Puzzle
The time that the clocks have to be set to while playing as Ashley will change depending on whether the game is played on Assisted/Standard or Hardcore/Professional. The time will be told in a note after using one of the keys on the elevator. For Standard and below, the time is11:04,and for Hardcore and above, the time is7:00.
Mausoleum Lantern Puzzle
There is a lot of room for error in the lantern puzzle, but for the fastest solution, Ashley can take her starting lantern and replace it with the one in the far back, or thefull moon, then thecrescent moon, and finally place the last one at thestar.
Resident Evil 4 Remake Chapter 13 Puzzles
Dissection Room Terminal Puzzle
After rerouting power, Leon must open the door to the Dissection Room in Chapter 13. To do this, all the lightning bolt symbols must be turned on. On theleftis the solution for the lock onAssisted/Standard, and on the right is the solution for the lock onHardcore/Professional.
Freezer Room Terminal Puzzle
The Freezer Room’s Terminal puzzle is entirely optional but will unlock the room to another weapon to use. On the left is the solution for the terminal onAssisted/Standard,and on the right is the solution for the terminal onHardcore/Professional.

Waste Disposal Terminal Puzzle
The final puzzle of the game is in the Waste Disposal after rerouting power again with Ashley. The solution forAssisted/Standardis on the left, and the solution forHardcore/Professionalis on the right.
