Pokémon GO League Rankings and how they work
Great League
The Great League is the entry league in Pokémon GO PVP. It usually has all kinds of non-legendary Pokémon, which can be commonly caught by anyone in any place. It’s the least competitive part of the league. You can take part in the Great League as long as your Pokémon isbelow 1500 CP.
Ultra League
The Ultra League is one of the most popular leagues in Pokémon GO PVP. This one usually has entry-level legendary Pokémon caught in different raids and events. It’s decently competitive in terms of difficulty. You can play the Great League as long as your Pokémon has aminimum of 2500 CP.
Master League
The Master League is the final and toughest league in Pokémon GO PVP. There areno limits to how much CPyour Pokémon has. You can use any and every kind of Pokémon in the Master League. Usually, it hasthe most powerful Pokémonwith the highest CP.
Along with these three basic leagues, Niantic also adds plenty of other leagues to Pokémon GO PVP during events that can only have specific Pokémon.

Pokémon GO Competitive Ranking
If you’ve noticed before entering the Pokémon GO Battle League, you’ll see a badge icon with a number on it. That’s your Pokémon GO PVP ranking. In order to go up in ranking, you’ll need to do the following:
You simply need to play PVP as much as possible in order to climb the rankings ladder. It gets pretty competitive, so you will need to refine your Pokédex regularly in order to progress.
