Lords of the Fallen (2023) is the successor to Lords of the Fallen (2014), a souls-like game with a dark aesthetic and challenging gameplay. Having played souls-like games and getting my teeth kicked in, I wanted to know if I could play Lords of the Fallen co-op and have a friend help me battle the enemies throughout the world. With co-op multiplayer, players can experience the game together, so find out below if Lords of the Fallen is co-op.
Can you play Lords of the Fallen multiplayer co-op?
The answer is yes;Lords of the Fallen features seamless co-op, allowing both players to play the entire game together. Lords of the Fallen handles co-op differently from other souls-likes, favoring co-op multiplayer throughout the game, and not just for boss battles. My skills in souls-like are lacking, so I am glad I can enlist a friend who is better to carry me through the game.

However, the host player will have an advantage, as thesecondary player will not be able to progress the story in their own world. Any progression and item sharing is locked to that world, which can hamper the co-op experience. If you intend to play through the game together, I recommend playing two different builds so you do not need to fight over items.
In addition to co-op, Lords of the Fallen has thePvP multiplayericonic to souls-like games, which is to say players can invade other players' worlds and face off in 1-on-1 combat. Invaders only have one life, meaning you’ll be unable to respawn using the in-game lamp mechanics. There are also PvP-designated areas solely meant for player combat, similar toElden Ring’s Colosseums.
Can you turn off PvP multiplayer in Lords of the Fallen?
PvP invasions can be turned off in two ways. You can disable this feature by turning off multiplayer from the in-game menu. The other way is to use a consumable item to disable invasions temporarily, freeing you from PvP for a short time.
