In the third segment of the quest (Lies Cast Shadows Under Gathered Lights), you’ll play the role of Lyney’s attorney in a trial against Furina.

All Lyney Trial Answers in Refutation - Lyney’s Actions in the Tunnel in Genshin Impact
Upon initiating the Refutation round against Furina, she will begin by stating her version of the series of events. Once done, you’ll be able to refute each segment of her claims in order to build your version of the truth.

Next, select the statement"Lyney kidnapped Halsey"and click Identify Loopholes. Refute it usingThe Voice in the Oratrice Core Chamber. Click on the Refute button to successfully change this part of the timeline.
Once that’s done, select the statement"Lyney knocked Cowell out"and click Identify Loopholes. Choose the evidence calledThe Young Lady’s Clothes. Click on the Refute button to successfully change this part of the timeline.
When all three statements have been refuted, this segment will complete and Paimon will announce your version of the events.

In this segment, you need to use clues to build a hypothesis to uncover the identity of the true culprit who staged Cowell’s murder. Since you’re only provided thumbnails, I recommend clicking on each clue to know what they are, then selecting the following:

Part One
Likewise, you’ll be asked to do another hypothesis-building round. This time, your goal is to prove there was an altercation in the tunnel. Select each thumbnail to know what clue they signify, then select the following to build your case:
In this segment, only three clues will be correct, so select anything as the fourth clue and keep doing the same until all the incorrect clues have been exhausted. The game will trigger dialogue that will reveal the final clue.
Part Two
Now with more clues in your arsenal, you’ll be given a second chance to build upon the same hypothesis. Since you have previously selected the first three clues, the MC will automatically include them in the roster. All you need to do is to choose theBroken Flower Vaseto complete the round and proceed with the rest of the trial.

Finally, at the last leg of the trial, you must gain the favor of the Oratrice. Furina will, once again, state her version of the events. In the first stage, you won’t have any evidence to refute her claims, but let the story naturally progress, as the culprit will eventually reveal herself.
After the culprit reveals herself, you’ll finally have enough evidence to refute Furina. Select the statement"Halsey dissolved"and click Identify Loopholes. Refute it using the evidence calledStrange Sound During the Magic Show. Click on the Refute button to successfully change this part of the timeline.
Next, select the statement"Infighting Between Lyney and Cowell"and click Identify Loopholes. Choose theBroken Flower Vaseas your evidence. Click on the Refute button to successfully change this part of the timeline.
Select the statement"Lyney knocked Cowell out"and click Identify Loopholes. You need to refute it using the evidence calledThe Young Lady’s Clothes. Click on the Refute button to successfully change this part of the timeline.
Once you’ve refuted the three statements above, Paimon will help reconstruct the events leading up to the crime. The Oratrice will vote in favor of your side, finally revoking all accusations made against Lyney. You will win the trial and can proceed with the rest of the quest.
