What does the Scuba Gas Mask do in DMZ?
The Scuba Gas Mask is a brand-new item that is essentially a combination of theRebreatherand Durable Gas Mask. This piece of equipment providesprotection from radioactive gasand also allows you tobreathe underwater for a longer period of time. Maps like Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, and Vondel have several water bodies where you can use this field upgrade perfectly. As always, you can obtain this item from loot caches, containers, and other areas.

Using the Scuba Gas Mask will alsohelp out when you need to take the last exfil. Running around in the radioactive gas can be fatal if you don’t have Gas Masks or Radiation Pills. Likewise, while being chased by opponents, you can jump in the water and hide for longer with this new item. The Scuba Gas Mask will come in clutch during the last few minutes of the game, so verify to use it wisely.
I’d recommend using this piece of equipment on Vondel first to swim around and get an idea of the rebreather’s duration. Likewise, you may test it out at a radioactive site to see the decay rate. If you have a secure backpack, make sure to exfil with a few of these items to share with your friends in the next match.
