Vampire Survivors has an astonishing amount of content, allowing for multiple runs that seldom feel the same. My favorite part of Vampire Survivors is unlocking new content and trying out new combos. One powerup I find to be particularly useful in the early stages is the Defang powerup. Defang gives you a safety net, but you’ll need to unlock this powerup before you may use it in Vampire Survivors.
Where to get Defang powerup in Vampire Survivors
To get the Defang powerup in Vampire Survivors, you mustunlock the Whiteout stage. On theWhiteout stageis theAntidote relic, and collecting this will unlock the Defang powerup. Pause the game to open your map and head toward theblue potion iconon the map, and you’ll come to a cave similar to what youfind the Glass Fandangoin. Enter the cave and approach the Antidote. Pick it up, and you will unlock the Defang powerup.

Defang is acheap powerupthat reduces the difficulty in Vampire Survivors. Some enemies will be unable to deal any damage to you and will be marked by a green tint. You can customize or turn this off in the Options menu. Using Defang will make the game easier, which is especially helpful for first-time players.
The 1.17 Update has added loads of new content to Vampire Survivors, including a new stage, weapon, relic, and powerup. It also celebrates the holidays and expands upon the overall experience. Be sure to check out the Whiteout map and its inverse to ensure you unlock everything the update has to offer.
