Gathering the Sages is an important task in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. They not only played a major role in the story but provided Link with several useful abilities. However, despite their good intentions, I found them getting on my nerves as I played. This left me wondering if I could remove the sages in Tears of the Kingdom.

Talin - Sage of Wind

Tulin is easily the best sage ability as it provides extra mobility. It is also typically the first to get as the story pushes you toward Rito Village. Tulin’s wind ability can blow back enemies in combat and also provides a speed burst while gliding.

Sidon - Sage of Water

Sidon, the Zora Sage of Water, provides a more defensive ability compared to other sages. This surrounds you in a veil of water, protecting you from attacks. It also allows you to unleash a burst of water when you attack.

Yunobu - Sage of Fire

Yunobu is the Goron Sage, focusing on fire. In combat, this allows Yunobu to turn into a spinning ball of flame, which can be launched at enemies. Outside of combat, this ability allows you to break rocks and other obstacles.

Riju - Sage of Lightning

Riju is the Gerudo Sage of Lightning. Her ability creates an electrical field that allows you to call down lightning strikes by firing arrows into this field. This can also be used while exploring to destroy rocks or power devices.

Mineru - Sage of Spirit

Mineru is the hidden fifth sagebut possesses a powerful ability. She can call forth a Construct mecha for LInk to use. You are free to attach weapons to its two arms, allowing you to create different combinations in combat and while exploring.
