Final Fantasy XVI is here, and thanks to my pre-order, I was able to have the game pre-loaded and ready to go when I woke up. Another benefit of pre-ordering is the pre-order bonuses,including the Blood Sword, that come with FFXVI. However, I didn’t receive it upon starting up the game, which left me on a quest to find and claim my FFXVI pre-order bonuses.
How to claim FF16 pre-order bonuses
Pre-order bonuses cannot be claimed until you reach a certain point in FFXVI. This isafter completing the A Chance Encounter main story mission, which occurs roughly two hours into the game. If you have already completed the FFXVI demo, then you will be past this point and can claim your pre-order bonuses immediately. Here is how to redeem FFXVI pre-order bonuses.

If you pre-ordered FFXVI digitally, then you do not need to take additional steps to ensure you receive your pre-order bonuses. However, those whopre-ordered the game physically must redeem their pre-order bonusesbefore they can be claimed in-game. This is an essential step and one you should do as soon as you are able.
This can be found as anadditional codeon the purchase receipt, in an email, or inside the game’s box. Be sure you find and redeem this code because if you lose it or throw it away, you will not be able to retrieve your pre-order bonuses.
