With theSeason of the Witchin Destiny 2 comes Crota’s End, which first appeared as one of the main raids in The Dark Below expansion of Destiny 1 in 2014. As it makes its way back to the game once again, I’ll help you figure out what you need to know to prepare for it.
Destiny 2 Crota’s End Raid Prep Guide
The Season of the Witch’s reprised version of Crota’s End is coming to Destiny 2 onSeptember 1 at 10 AM PDTand will feature multiple modes you’ll have to play through in order to get the most out of it.
Contest Mode, Challenger Mode, and Power Requirement
Contest Modewill run for the first 48 hours from the release, and will tweak the incoming and outgoing damage against enemies; some specific enemies gain various buffs and will be more aggressive than ever.
The power cap to be able to do all the encounters in the raid is1790, which is 20 below the maximum seasonal power of 1810, so your best bet is to maintain as close as possible to the power cap. After finishing the raid once, you’ll need to do it once more to complete theChallenge Modevariant of the raid, which automatically kills off your whole team upon failing the challenge.

Encounters
Since this is a reprised version of the Destiny 1 raid, we can expect the same encounters with variable difficulty.
While the encounters and modes might be similar, several of the raid’s aspects (e.g. enemies, abilities, and drops) might be different from Destiny 1. It’s still uncertain what kind of drops we’ll get after finishing the raid, but my guess is they have to be good.
