The Dune-Entombed Fecundity: Part III is a Genshin Impact World Quest inThe Dirge of Bilqisquest chain. Once you’ve entered the temple-like ruin deep underground, you must find a way to open the ancient gate in the main room.
Follow the steps below for a full walkthrough on how to complete this objective.
How to open the ancient gate in Genshin Impact – Dune-Entombed Fecundity: Part III
Start by entering the coffin-shaped entrance locatednorthof the room. Upon entering, you may want to get rid of the fungi so they don’t get in your way.
All you need to do isinteract with the deviceby the door to Rotate Valve, which will prompt a cutscene. Ignore the rest of the mechanisms and exit toreturn to the previous room.
As soon as you exit, look to yourleftto find that the device is now unlocked. Interact with it to prompt a cutscene of a door opening at the bottom of a staircase.
Next, godown the stairsbetween the two torches to enter the room that just opened. Inside, you’ll find a new exploration mechanic called Dual-Phased Neverlight and Everlight Cells. These are similar to the Single-Phased version you’ve encountered in the desert, except you now need to fire the Primal Beams across two Cells.

First, interact with the Cell near the closed gate toRotate Cell once. This will make a Primal Beam connect to the triangular Cell at the center of the room.
Next, interact with the Cell near the blue barrier andRotate Cell twice. The first rotation will unlock the Common Chest in the room, which you’re able to loot. The second rotation will disperse the blue barrier.
Interact with thedevicecircled in the image above (previously behind the blue barrier) to unlock the giant mechanism at the center of the room, and repair another device in front of it.
Interact with the now-repaireddevicein front of the giant mechanism to open the gate in front of it. Enter the gate and climb the stairs to find a locked mechanism.
Defeat thetwo Primal Constructsto unlock the mechanism. Then interact with the mechanism to turn off the barrier beside it.

Interact with thedeviceon the other side of the room to close the valve in front of it. After the cutscene, interact with themechanismin front of the closed gate to open it, leading you into another room.
You don’t have to touch anything in this room. Simply head to the open door (where the arrow is pointing above) to return to the main room. Once you’re there, follow the quest navigator to thedeviceon the opposite end. Interact with it to open the ancient gate to its left, finally completing this objective. you’re able to proceed with completing the rest of the Dune-Entombed Fecundity: Part III World Quest.
