How to craft an axe in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
To make an axe in ToTK, you need two things: aTree Branchand aStone, both of which you can find easily as they’re scattered around most areas on the ground in abundance.

Pick up andequipthe Tree Branchfrom yourTears of the Kingdom weaponsmenu, then useLink’s Fuse powerto add the stone to it. To do so,hold Rand selectFuse, then hover over the Stone, and you’ll get the option to fuse it with your Tree Branch with theY Buttonto create aStone Axe.
I didn’t realize you could make an axe at first so I spent an hour trying to find one on the ground somewhere. So don’t be like me—carry one on you at all times, just in case.
How to use an axe in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
With the axe in hand, simply walk up to atreeand, with the axe equipped,swingat it a few times to chop it down, turning it into aWooden Log. You can then useLink’s Ultrahand abilitytoattachthe log to other objects and create useful resources likebridges,boats, andladdersto access hard-to-reach places such as cliffs and large gaps.
