As you progress through your fifth year in Hogwarts Legacy, the need for a high yield of crops from gardening becomes increasingly important. Items like Mallowsweet Leavesget used up quickly in Merlin Trials and combat plants are a vital tool for taking down large swathes of enemies. Here’s how you can get the most out of those gardening sessions.

Hogwarts Legacy Gardening Tips

When you plant something in Hogwarts Legacy, you need to wait a specific amount of in-game playing time before that item is ready for collection. While there isn’t a way to bypass the waiting period, you can maximize the amount that you are harvesting by following a few simple steps.

Make the Room of Requirement Count

To plant more than one item at a time, you’re going to either need atable with multiple potsormultiple tables. We recommend putting a collection of small, medium, and large potting tables in your Room of Requirement and making sure that each potting table has more than one pot available for planting. Put potting tables alongside the walls of the room as well as in rows towards the center so that you can navigate through multiple sections of potting tables with ease.

Use Fertilizer

If you aren’t at a place where you can afford potting tables with multiple pots or don’t want to dedicate your entire room to gardening, you’ll want toinvest in Fertilizer. Using this compost on your planted seeds will increase your yield, making your gardening needs simpler.

you’re able to either buy Fertilizer or make it yourself. In Hogsmeade, you can pick up Fertilizer fromThe Magic NeepandDogweed & Deathcap. It costs 300 coins per bag of Fertilizer and that cost can quickly add up if you’re planting a bunch of seeds.

If you’d prefer to make your own Fertilizer, go toTomes and Scrollsand drop a one-time 1,000 coin purchase on the conjuration spellcraft for aDung Composter. This machine will periodically create Fertilizer that works just as well as anything you’d find in a shop.
