Yukong is a potent Harmony Imaginary unit that was available to obtain during the end of the last content patch. However,as of 1.2, Yukong is out for free to players of Honkai Star Rail, providing the first—and only—free Imaginary unit in the game. To obtain Yukong, I had to do a little legwork, which I can now walk you through. Here’s how to get Yukong for free in Honkai: Star Rail.
How to obtain Yukong in Honaki Star Rail
Before you’re able to even begin the content required to obtain Yukong, you’ll first need complete the main story questA Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant.This is part of the main story in Honkai Star Rail 1.2, which means you’ll need to progress through the story to reach it. Completion of this quest will allow you to get Yukong, but before you can actually claim her, you’ll also need to completeStage 1 of the Forgotten Hall: Memory of Xianzhou.

You may have heard the horror stories about just how difficult the Forgotten Hall content can be. However, as this is only Stage 1, I assure you it is far from unbeatable.
At this point, you should be progressed enough to defeat it. However, if it is too difficult for you, continue to progress your account byleveling up characters, giving them artifacts, upgrading their Traces, and boosting their Light cones. These four things translate into significant power gains, so be sure not to ignore them.
Once you’ve completed A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant, and Stage 1 of the Forgotten Hall: Memory of Xianzhou, head to your Travel Log and look forTo Retire Upon the Perch.Click on this event and claim your free Yukong. You’re welcome.
