Honkai: Star Rail isn’t short of hidden objectives that can be a little frustrating to complete as the Mission navigator won’t guide you through these easter eggs. One Hidden Mission chain involves a Dirty Mechanical Part, an Old Tin Box, and A Bottle of Draconic Tears. If you pass these items on to people who have better use for them, you’ll be rewarded with a book and personal satisfaction.
I had a hard time finding new owners for these quest items, so here’s a complete walkthrough for the entire chain of events. You can use the Table of Contents below to skip to the part you’re stuck on.
How to get Dirty Mechanical Part in Honkai Star Rail
Start by heading to theJeweler’s Pagoda inCentral Starskiff Haven. Its exact location is marked in the image above. Once you’re there, interact with the glowing spot toInvestigate. This will prompt dialogue with Pawnbroker Handian. You can pick any dialogue option to get a quest item called Dirty Mechanical Part.
How to use Dirty Mechanical Part in Honkai Star Rail
Pawnbroken Handian will give you a clue: a young man just passed by the door of the Jeweler’s Pagoda muttering “Revenge… Revenge…” Head directly in front of the shop (the exact location is circled above) to find aFrowning Young Man. Interact with him and select any dialogue option. You’ll then be prompted to give him the Dirty Mechanical Part. In exchange, he’ll give you an Old Tin Box.

How to use Old Tin Box in Honkai Star Rail
Head to the Spare Time Book Shop in the Exalting Sanctum—its exact location is circled in the image above. As youapproach the shop, a dialogue with a Sad Woman willautomatically prompt. This will only happen if you have the Old Tin Box in your inventory. Give the Sad Woman the Old Tin Box to get A Bottle of Draconic Tears in return.
How to use A Bottle of Draconic Tears in Honkai Star Rail
Return to theJeweler’s Pagoda in Central Starskiff Havenand speak to Pawnbroken Handian. Select the dialogue option “I swapped it for a Jar of Draconic Tears…” He’ll give you a clue as to who could use this item: a Xianzhou aficionado who came all the way from the IPC.
Head north of the Jeweler’s Pagoda to findHoward, the person you’re looking for. Interact with him and introduce yourself, then select the dialogue option “You seem pretty interested in Draconic Tears.” Once that’s done, give Howard A Bottle of Draconic Tears to complete the chain of objectives. You’ll be rewarded with a readable called On Travel: Arriving at the Xianzhou.
