The Hogwarts Dungeons are famously the home of the Slytherin House in theHarry Potterbook series. This is no different in Hogwarts Legacy. If you didn’t choose Slytherin as your starting house, you may be wondering how to reach the dungeons and explore what you can. Or maybe you are looking for Dungeons outside of Hogwarts? We can help you either way. Here’s how to get to the Dungeons in Hogwarts Legacy.
How to get to the Slytherin Dungeons in Hogwarts Legacy
From the Grand Staircase Floo Flame nearby the Great Hall, turn around and go down the main central staircase. It will lead to a large set of double doors and the Lower Grand Staircase Floo Flame. Turn to your right to find the Slytherin Dungeons.
If you are a Slytherin student and walk forward to the large blank wall in front of you, a snake will reveal the door to your common room. If you turn to your right again and walk down the corridor you can explore even further in the Dungeons, to find places like the bathroom sink that leads to theChamber of Secrets.
If you have Alohomora levels one and two unlocked, you can find the Deathday Party Room behind a locked gate, or the Detention Room behind a locked door further down the hall. Both of these locations contain Revelio Field Guide pages that you may want to collect.

Where to find all thirteen Cairn Dungeons in Hogwarts Legacy
There are thirteen Carin Dungeons to be found in the Highlands. Exploring them all will award you The Intrepid Explorer Achievement. These are all dungeons that you will encounter while completing main or side quests. They have to be interacted with to be entered. Their locations are marked on your map with a sharp, archway icon. Most Carin Dungeons contain Collection Chests, and they can be returned to anytime after completing the quests that unlock them to loot the chests.
Jackdaw’s Tomb
Located inside the Forbidden Forest. You’ll be taken to this tomb during theJackdaw’s RestMain Quest.
The Collector’s Cave
This is on the edge of the Forbidden Forest near Hogsmeade. You’ll explore this Dungeon duringThe Helm of UrtkotMain Quest.
Feldcroft Catacomb
This in the southern portion of the Feldcroft Region. You’ll explore it while completing Sebastian’s relationship questIn the Shadow of Time.
Spinners Cavern
This Carin is also on the Edge of the Forbidden Forest. You’ll work your way through it during a Room of Requirement side quest calledThe Plight of The House Elf.
Horklump Hollow
Nearby Spinners Cavern is a Dungeon calledHorklump Hollow. You’ll navigate through it as part of a side quest calledA Friend In Deed.

The Mine’s Eye
This is a Goblin Mine that you will run through during the Main QuestIt’s All Gobbledegook.
Overlook Mine
This mine is located in the northern part of Hogwarts Valley. You’ll explore this mine with Sebastian during the Main QuestIn the Shadow of the Minewhile you look for another triptych piece.
Dale Family Tomb
You can unlock this Cairn during theBeeting a Curseside quest. It’s just east ofBrocburrow.
Moonstone Garden
Moonstone Gardenis unlocked by progressing a fair bit along Poppy’s Relationship Quests. The one you are waiting for isThe Centaur and the Stone.
Tomb of Treachery
This is a dungeon in the southernmost Region of Hogwarts. It’s entrance is behind a waterfall. You’ll be brought here following a treasure map inCursed Tomb Treasure.
Phoenix Mountain Cave
This cavern is on the northern edge of the Poidsear Coast. You’ll be taken here as part of your last Room of Requirement quest to rescue aPhoenix.
Tower Tunnel
This is a Carin that you’ll enter late in the main story on a quest calledIn the Shadow of the Mountain. Here you’ll find your last triptych piece with Sebastian, and some Collection Chests.
Coastal Mine
This is one of the last Cairns you will unlock. You’ll need to progress almost all of the way through the main story to a quest calledLodgok’s Loyalty.
