Each level of Apeirophobia is as challenging as it is terrifying. Completing the various puzzles and trying to avoid the monsters will already test your nerves, but if you’re looking for an even bigger challenge, you can attempt to collect the secret badges as well. Getting the Reality badge is an intricate task, unlikethe DOPPELGANGER badge, where you just get jumpscared. You’ll need to collect all the Simulation Cores to earn this badge, so here’s how!
How to earn the REALITY badge in Apeirophobia
Collecting the Simulation Cores is far from simple. They’re spread out across multiple levels and placed in secret locations that you can easily miss. There areseven Simulation Cores in total; here’s a quick overview of where you can find them:

All Simulation Core Locations in Apeirophobia
To collect Simulation Cores, all you have to do is walk into them. They are bright white orbs that definitely stand out, but you’ll have to look in some obscure locations. Thankfully, the cores will spawn every time you start up a game, even if you’ve already collected them, so you can skip levels to get the ones you need. It will tell you in the bottom right corner if you’ve already collected it or not, along with how many you’ve collected in total.
Level 0
The first Simulation Core in Level 0 isnear Ben’s Chair. Depending on where you spawn, you may be right next to it as soon as you enter the level. Just walk around the right corner, and you’ll see the core behind the armchair. If you happen to spawn in a different spot, you can try heading to the opposite way of where the arrows are pointing, in thenorthwest corner.
To find the second Simulation Core in Level 0, headdirectly northwest of Ben’s Chair. You’ll know you’re going the right way if you see anarrow pointing to the leftand writing on the wall that says “This Way?” Take aleft at the writing, thentake the first rightand follow the wall on your right all the way down until you see thesecret opening in the wall. Inside, you’ll find the core.
Level 1
The next Simulation Core can be found in the Poolrooms of Level 1. This one is fairly easy to find, but you’ll have to watch out for the entity. Head to thetop left cornerto find the core. When you spawn in, you’ll see an arrow on the wall pointing right. Headstraight past the arrow on the walland continue forward until you see anopening with a pillaron your left, where you’ll enter (shown in the picture above). Then, take a slight left and move up until you see ared line on the wall. Turn right around the corner, and you’ll. spot the core.

Level 3
The Level 3 Simulation Cores can be a bit tedious to get because you’ll have to progress through the level to collect them. First, unlock the gate by finding the keys in the file cabinets. You’ll find the first core by taking animmediate left when entering the gateand entering the bathroom. Enter theright side of the bathroom, and you’ll find the core beside the upside-down toilets.
You get the second core by progressing all the way to the end of level 3, meaning you’ll have to finish pressing all the buttons to unlock the exit. Once you enter thestairwell with the orange lights, you’ll want to continue all the way to the bottom. The core is hiddenunderneath the stairs.
Level 4
Level 4 doesn’t have an entity chasing you, which makes things a bit easier. However, this is a complicated maze, and it’s easy to get lost. First, get through the first area of level 4, past the pools and hallways, until you get to the staircase. Then, try to follow along with our steps and images:
Level 9
Level 9 is a pretty easy map, which means you should be able to finish off this badge task in no time. It’s a bit mazey like the Sewers, but nowhere near as intricate. Once you spawn, head around theright side of the pooland continue forward until you see a doorway on yourright, then stay right and continue through the doorway. Once you spot the doorway on theleft, continue straight through. Once you head through this doorway, turn to theleft, and you’ll spot the core straight ahead.
Now you have successfully collected all seven Simulation Cores and should have earned the REALITY badge. There are plenty more badges to collect, so continue doing your best to complete the levels and explore everything there is to see!
