In Baldur’s Gate 3, you will find plenty of gear that can significantly improve your build, including the Blackguard’s Plate Armor. A very rare piece of heavy armor with AC 19, you need to fight specific enemies to get it. Here is where you may find and collect the Blackguard’s Plate Armor in BG3.
Where to Find the Blackguard’s Plate Armor in BG3
To find the Blackguard’s Plate Armor in BG3, you’ll need to visit theBhaalist Crypt(X:1296 Y:502)as part of the Muder Tribunal quest and defeat the That Which Guards enemy. To get there, visit the Candulhallow’s Tombstones, locatednorthwest of the Basilisk Gate Barracks waypoint. Enter the Candulhallow’s Tombstones to find the hiddenCellar Doorwhich leads to the Bhaalist Crypt.
Check the yellow circle on the map image above to see the precise location of the Candulhallow’s Tombstones. Upon arrival, look for the Cellar Door(X:91 Y:16)inside the office room.
To reveal the Cellar Door, interact with the button behind the portrait in the office room. You’ll find it’s locked and requires apasscode(Sicarius).
Once inside the crypt, you will encounter three NPCs:That Which Guards,That Which Lurks, andThat Which Watches. When you eliminate That Which Guards, you’ll acquire the Blackguard’s Plate Armor along with Blackguard’s Sword, Key to the Murder Tribunal, and Shield of the Undevout.

By wearing the Blackguard’s Plate Armor, you acquire the following bonuses:
Characters such asLae’zelandShadowhearthave heavy armor proficiency in BG3 and can use the Blackguard’s Plate Armor. Likewise, if you are looking to build aFighter, Cleric, orPaladinclass character, they can equip this armor. Keep in mind the Blackguard’s Plate Armor has a disadvantage on stealth checks, so it’s best to not take a sneaky approach while wearing this armament.
