The Hatching-tide 2023 event is well underway in Final Fantasy XIV, and this year, it’s all about the Tonberry. To celebrate the crafty critter, players can obtain a Tonberry outfit to Glamour by collecting and trading in the special currency known as Special Midnight Archon Eggs. Here’s how to get your hands on Special Midnight Archon Eggs in FFXIV.
Where to find Special Midnight Archon Eggs in FFXIV
To begin the annual Hatching-tide event, head over toMih Khetto’s AmphitheatreinOld Gridania(X:10, Y:9)andspeak to Jihli Aliapoh. You’ll start theGet Along and Play Knife event quest, where you need to scare away three Sylphs in the area.
Once you’ve handed the quest in, you’ll receive a second, which tasks you with completing theDon’t Be Sylphish event FATEinCentral Shroud. You’ll find it atX: 24, Y:29coordinates, south of Bentbranch. If the FATE hasn’t spawned yet, wait, and it’ll appear after a few minutes.

To complete the FATE, you need tocollect the Archon Eggswhileavoiding the area-of-effect attacksby the surrounding Sylphs. Once enough eggs have been gathered,hand them to the nearby NPCto finish the quest. Themore eggs you collect, themore Special Archon Eggsyou’ll be rewarded with.
If you’re playing by yourself, you’ll have to replay the Don’t Be Sylphish FATE multiple times to get enough Special Archon Eggs for all ofthe FFXIV Hatching-tide eventrewards, so we’d recommend teaming up with surrounding players as you’ll likely gain enough for each piece of the Tonberry Glamour in one go.
