After deciding what clan you want to join in Type Soul, you’ll need to grind levels and defeat tough enemies in order to get some of the best abilities in the game. I’m personally biased toward the Quincy clan, a group of elegant swordsmen. While the Schrift ability is one of their lower-grade skills, it’s still worth unlocking, especially for newer players. To get it, you’ll need to prove yourself in battle. Take a look at the steps below to obtain it for yourself!
How to get Schrift in Type Soul
The first step to getting Schrift is first tobecome a Quincy. If you haven’t already, you’ll find the Quincy statue underneath the castle, where you can become a Quincy by interacting with the statue. Then, verify you first reach theGrade 2 rank. You can do this by completing different requests and quests around to quickly level up. Once you’re Grade 2, you can begin working toward the Schrift ability. Follow the steps to start obtaining it:
Speak to Balance NPC
After reaching Grade 2, you can work toward unlocking Schrift byspeaking to the NPC, Balance. This character is at theQuincy castle. You’ll just have to climb all the stairs and reach thevery top. Then, navigate down the hall to thesecond left. They’re standing behind the table.
Speaking to Balance at the proper rank will result in the dialogue line, “Potential..? Return to your origins.” This is a hint of where you’ll need to go for the next step, and it doesn’t matter how you choose to reply. To go “back to your origins,” you’ll need to go to thebottom of the castleand interact with theQuincy statueonce again.

Interact with Quincy Statue
The Quincy statue is at thefirst level of the castlein the very center of the room; you’ll remember this from when you first became a Quincy. To continue progressing toward Schrift,interact with the statueagain. This will reveal the dialogue, “Letters are designated to the worthy. Display yourself in real battle.” You’ll need to reply with the line, “I will,” to begin the quest.
Complete Battle Quest
This is the main bulk of the task in receiving Schrift since you’ll have to farm several different types of enemies to prove yourself. You’ll get through it in no time, though, especially if you can get some help from some friends. These are all the types of enemies you’ll need to defeat:

you may farm all these atHueco Mundo, which can easily be teleported by heading through theblack portalrightbehind Balanceat the top of the castle.
After farming all the enemies you need, you canreturn to the Quincy statueat the bottom of the castle and select thesame dialogueas before. If you have all the kills you need, you should respawn and have the Schrift ability available to you.
You can use your ability by pressingGandTon your keyboard. The Schrift ability can come in several different elements, some rarer than others:Miracle,Fear,Heat, andWind. You’ll get one by chance when you respawn. No matter what type you get, you won’t want to miss out on its potential!
