One of the most prevalent and frustrating Twitch issues is network error codes, a series of errors that unfortunately have several potential causes. These errors make Twitch unusable for those affected, and because they have multiple causes they can be hard to get rid of. However, for those looking to fix the problem, below you can find a list of potential causes for the error codes as well as possible solutions.
Why am I getting Twitch Network Error Codes?
Before going into any of the major issues that could be causing the error, you should first tryrefreshing Twitchorrestarting your device. You can alsolog out and back in on Twitch, as this can also cause a reset. These three simple steps are also three of the most effective fixes for problems on Twitch.
Network error
One of the more probable causes of error codes is a network issue or error on your end. This is actually a very easy fix most of the time, as a simple router reset should solve the problem. To reset your router, first find it and then unplug it from its power source. Leave it unplugged for 30 seconds to a minute, then plug it back in and wait a few minutes for it to reboot. If all of the lights are back on, try running Twitch again to see if the error has been fixed.

Servers down
The opposite of a network error, instead this is an issue caused on Twitch’s end of things. If the Twitch servers go down, be it for maintenance or due to some sort of issue or interference, you cannot do anything to fix it. However, to confirm this as the issue or rule it out as the problem, you can head over toTwitch’s Server Status pageto see if the servers are up. If they are all online, then this is not the cause of the issue.
Ad blockers
Browser cache issue
A major cause of many different issues in your browser can be acorrupted file inside your browser cache. If this is the cause of the error, you need to go into yourbrowser historyand clear yourhistory, cookies, andcached images and files. In almost all cases the corrupted file(s) will be contained within these three areas, but you may clear all of your browser data if you want to cover all of your bases.

Antivirus issue
One possible cause of error codes is an issue with your antivirus software. If you use a third-party antivirus program, there is a chance that it will accidentally recognize Twitch as a potential threat and block it. This will then cause the error code and bar you from using Twitch. The simplest solution is to disable your third-party software to allow the use of Twitch, but you can also make an exception for Twitch in your software so that it no longer blocks it.
Contact Twitch Support
If all else fails, your best bet is to head over toTwitch Supportand submit a report with them. Be sure to describe the issue in as much detail as possible, as this will greatly help them understand what needs to be done to fix your issue.
