Poltchageist is The Teal Mask’s addition to the Sinistea line. Much like Sinistea, Poltchageist doesn’t evolve with a simple level up. Rather, it needs specific items depending on what type of Poltchageist you have. Here’s what we know about its evolution, Sinistcha, and the items needed for the event in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
How to get Sinistcha in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
A Poltchageist can only evolve into a Sinistcha with one of two items: aMasterpiece Teacupor anUnremarkable Teacup. The former will evolve an authenticPoltchageist, and the second will evolve its Counterfeit form. Here’s where to find both items so you’re able to evolve your Poltchageist no matter which one you have.

Meanwhile, The Unremarkable Teacup can be found in theParadise Barrens. If Timeless Woods is in the northeast of the Kitakami Map, Paradise Barrens is in the northwest. I found it in this cave!
We’ve gotten both types of Poltchageists and tried really hard to see the difference… but failed to do so. It’s probably another bottom authenticity seal thing.
