To destroy the Seal of the Abyss, you need to play the run withMaruto Cuts, the warrior character added inTides of Foscari; the crystal won’t break using anyone else. You’ll already have him unlocked at this point, so it’s just a matter of buying him on the Character Selection menu.
Once in the run with Maruto Cuts, you mustevolvehis starting weapon,Eskizzibur, intoLegionnaireand then max out its level tolevel eight. With those conditions met, head over to the red emerald andwalk over itto automatically attack and shatter it.
What does destroying the Seal of the Abyss do?
Unlike the greenSeal of the Lake in the Lake Foscari stagethat you had to break to unlock the Abyss Foscari level, the red emeralddoesn’t unlocka new stage—not yet, anyway. It does do something useful, though.

Destroying the Seal of the Abyssopens up the Abyss Foscari mapmore, where you’ll findthe blue Seal of the Banishedwithout spoiling it; you’ll need to come back later as you can’t do anything with it right now. It also unlocksLuminaire Foscari, a secret character.
How to find the Red Emerald Abyss Seal in Vampire Survivors
To find the Red Emerald Seal of the Abyss in the Abyss Foscari stage, headsouthfrom the starting point toward thetwo Crown weapon pickups. Once you’ve reached the first one, you’ll see a long horizontalstone bridge. Gowestacross it, and continue until you reach a path to thenorth.
Walknorthup this path, and you’ll end up at the Seal of the Abyss red crystal.
How to evolve Eskizzibur into Legionnaire in Vampire Survivors
To evolve Eskizzibur into Legionnaire so that you can break the Red Emerald, you must levelEskizziburto itsmaxlevel, which islevel eight. You also need to levelArmortolevel five, itsmaxlevel.
Once you’ve done that,open up a Treasure Chestto trigger Eskizzibur’s evolution into Legionnaire.
