For Whom the Clock Tower Tolls is an Octopath Traveler 2 side story you can pick up during your first visit to Clockbank. It’s from a Clock Tower Technician in one of the back alleys of the town, looking to repair the clock tower in the area. However, the bridge is broken and he can’t get across. Here’s how to help him.
Octopath Traveler 2 - How to get to the Clock Tower in Clockbank
You need aboatto reach the clock tower. Travel to thewestpart of the area (see photos above) to find ahidden pier. Ride the boat past the bridge in the south part of the city all the way to where the clock tower is in the northwest. Be sure you have the Clock Tower Technician in your party first using Path Actions like Allure and Guide.
The clock tower is filled with a lot of nasties, so therecommended level to take it on is 40+. There is a phoenix boss at the very top you need to defeat (weaknesses are shown below—be sure to take aWarriorand aHunterwith you). Take the Clock Tower Technician to the top of the tower and your quest is complete.

There are a lot of quests in Octopath Traveler 2 that certainly look like they’re level-blocked but aren’t. Our favorite example is the one in Gravell (Wildlands), where you can get the Armsmasterhidden jobearly with the holy evasive power of a Cleric. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with naturally progressing through the story without skipping towns. Just know that it’s an option!
