Descended from Royalty is a side story in Octopath Traveler 2 you can pick up in Clockbank: Industrial District. It’s from a townsfolk who claims that his ancestors were royalty in the region. Is this true? If so, where can you find proof? Here’s how to complete Descended from Royalty in Octopath Traveler 2.

Octopath Traveler 2 - Where to find proof the man is descended from royalty

Don’t worry, this man really has a (very) distant royal ancestor in Brightlands, and you can find proof in theAbandoned Village. This is a deserted town located near New Delsta Flats. One of the villagers has the item you’re looking for. We found him near the entrance at night. Use item-taking Path Actions likeEntreat(Agnea) andMug(Osvald) to take the family tree from him.

Giving the Clockbank man the Nyx family tree will complete the quest. You’ll be rewarded with 6,000 Leaves and a Resistant Nut (M).

As a rule of thumb, be sure to snag any item with a diamond icon beside it. They’re always quest-related. A good example is a quest calledA Young Girl’s Wish, where you’ll need to pick up two key items from faraway locations (among other things). Information Path Actions like Inquire (Castti) and Scrutinize (Osvald) are more for getting hints as to how to resolve side quests. If you’re feeling stuck at certain stories, we highly recommend you read those not-so-flavor NPC text, as they hold valuable clues.
