Not only will you be blasting away the competition withCybertron Cannonsfor the Transformers quests this season, you will also be tasked to go on a treasure hunt with the help of Aura to find the Chalice of Catastrophe. She really had us search high and low all around the jungle for clues. What’s more, once we had the location pinpointed, we also had to overcome some last-minute obstacles to collect the Chalice once! If you don’t want to go through the same amount of trouble we did, this is your guide.
Where to find the Chalice of Cubetastrophe in Fortnite
To find the Chalice of Cubetastrophe in Fortnite, you’ll have to work your way through the Snapshot quests, completing different tasks and locating clues to the Chalice’s location. These clues will eventually lead you to the temple where the Chalice is hidden. Check out ours above to help you navigate where Anvil Square once stood
Once you’re there, you’ll quickly realize that this temple is within the very rocky foundation of the earth, where the faults have opened up into the jungle. To enter the temple, you’ll need to get past the first gate, which requires a sacrifice.

What item should I sacrifice to enter the temple in Fortnite?
Interacting with the door will prompt you that you need to sacrifice a “worthy item” in order to get through. You can offer up anything you have in your inventory. However, it will have to be something of higher rarity. Commons and Uncommons will not work. To be more specific, you will need to offer a weapon or item ofRare value or higher. Once you offer up an item and it accepts it, it will completely remove the item from your inventory, and you won’t be able to get it back.
With the door now open, you can enter the temple. Here, you will see a plank leading across the gap to another locked door seeking an offering. You won’t need to get through this. Instead,hop down into the gapto the lower level. There will be a statue holding a chest here, and to the left, you’ll notice some rocks blocking another room where the pedestal with the Chalice is hidden. You can break through using your pickaxe.
You’ll need to make one more offering (100 Gold Bars) to finally collect the Chalice. This isn’t too much, and you should already have enough on you if you’ve played a few games already. But if not, you’re able to find some in chests, registers, and vaults around the map or earn some from doing bounties.
Once you’ve made the Gold offering, you can collect the Chalice. It will give you a golden crown and replace your pickaxe with a matching gold mace.
You’ll notice you are also appearing more skeleton-like. Your character will stay like this until you bring the Chalice to Aura, which makes things a little more tricky. You’ll easily stand out with your sparkling gold appearance in the jungle, so try tolay low and get to Auraas fast as you can. Once you speak to her, you will return to your regular character and complete the Snapshot quests.
