Engaging in Tera Raids is one of the thrilling feats we get to encounter in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. These high-stakes battles, often a test of our Poké prowess, can pose a significant challenge, and taking on Decidueye, the latest Pokémon to host a 7-star Tera Raid, is no exception. Allow me to guide you through my approach to defeating the 7-star Decidueye Tera Taid in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Best Decidueye counters in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Decidueye, a formidable Grass/Ghost-type Pokémon, sits intimidatingly atlevel 100in this7-star Tera Raid, not an opponent to be taken lightly. However, there’s no room for trepidation; understanding its weaknesses can be our strongest weapon. With itsTera type being Flying, I can’t stress the importance of arming ourselves with robustElectric-type Pokémon enough. Our counters should be equipped to endure a fierce aerial battle, so ensuring they are also level 100 is paramount.
When I initially faced Decidueye, the unique blend of its Grass/Ghost/Flying type made it a difficult opponent to crack. However, after a few encounters, one thing became clear; Electric-type Pokémon are our best shot. Their neutral standing against Decidueye’s complex type combination makes them valuable assets for this battle.
Without one, the task can become significantly more challenging, but with the right Electric-type Pokémon, victory against Decidueye can swiftly turn from a daunting prospect into an achievable goal.

UseMetal Sound on turn one and twoto lower Decidueye’s Sp. Def stat.On turn three, use Chargeto increase Miraidon’snext Electric-type attack by 100%. Finally, use Electro Drift on turn fourto one-shot Deciduye and beat the Raid.
If your Miraidon isn’tHyper-Trained, Decidueye may survive the attack but will only have a few HP left. This is okay;use Electro Drift two more timesafter being revived. Even if the owl manages to knock you out, it will not be able to survive the rest of the Tera Raid due to how much damage you have already inflicted on it.
