The Genshin Impact Shadows in Motion web event runs fromAugust 9,2023,to August 15,2023. During the event, you’re able to complete six photography challenges on the HoYoverse website or HoYoLAb and get Primogems and other rewards in return. I highly recommend starting as early as possible as you need at least four days to get all of the rewards.
Start by heading to theofficial web event page. Make sure you’re logged into yourHoYoverse account, which is also your Genshin Impact account. Select the correct server and character, as rewards are distributed via in-game mail.
How to complete the Genshin Impact Shadows in Motion web event
Upon starting the Shadows in Motion web event, you’ll be prompted to access the first stage but will need to consume Stamina to access all following stages. Click on the Stamina icon on top of each door to complete tasks to get Stamina. They refresh every day:

Upon starting a challenge, you’ll be provided with three photography prompts on the left side of the screen. Your goal is to take a photo of the subjects presented in those prompts. In the example above, Guoba and Yuegui are the subjects in the prompt, so click on them in the landscape and selectTake Photo. Snap the picture to complete the objective.
If your photo-taking failed, it’s likely because you took it with the wrong zoom. Paimon will give you hints as to whether the angle is good enough, so read her message at the top of the screen. you may adjust the camera zoom via theslideron the left.
Click on thegift iconon the upper right of the screen to open the rewards page. Here, you can claim rewards based on the number of photos you’ve successfully taken. You only need to take 15 photos to get 120 Primogems and other rewards. This will require you toplay for at least four days.
