The Genshin Impact Archon Quest Chapter III: Act VI - Caribert tells of the chilling tale of a Khaenri’ahn named Eide and his quest to save his Hilichurlian son, Caribert. After completingA Lamenter at Fate’s End, you must push through the last leg of this Archon Quest called Portended Fate.
In this quest, you won’t be able to configure your party or open the World Map. Considerturning on quest navigationto make things easier for you.
How to complete the Portended Fate quest in Genshin Impact – Caribert Archon Quest
The quest starts with Eide running off. You must return to the Unknown Sanctuary and find him. If you forgot how to get there, use the quest navigator or refer to our A Lamenter at Fate’s End walkthrough linked above.
Once inside the Unknown Sanctuary, climb the stairs to enter a wide room anddefeat the Slimes. This will trigger the door up ahead to slowly open. Once it’s open, enter and climb the stairs to find another group of Slimes on the bridge.
After defeating the Slimes, interact with themechanismup ahead. This will slowly open the door, allowing you to enter. Once inside, go forward by a few steps to trigger a cutscene and dialogue with Eide.

Like before, you’ll automatically be teleported back to Eide’s house, only to find that Caribert has gone missing. In a fit of panic, exit the house andinteract with the crateto obtain clues. After the dialogue, follow the path until you reach a glowing spot. This will trigger dialogue with Forest Rangers.
Follow the quest navigator toward Caribert, who’s overlooking a cliff north of the Forest Rangers' area. The rest of the quest will play out in a series of chilling cutscenes and dialogue, eventually waking you from the terrible dream. You’ll unlock the Wonders of the World Achievement calledStar-Crossed Night.
The Archon Quest ends in a heartwarming hug with Paimon, who misses you as much as you miss her. You’ll unlock the Wonders of the World Achievement fittingly calledCaribert.
