The Genshin Impact Fulminating Sandstorm event runs fromApril 21,2023, to May 1,2023, introducing players to the legendary Wenutslayer Cannon, which will be used to control the increasing population ofWenuts. The event involves multiple quests tied to challenges, each with a different set of objectives.
After completing thefirst challenge called Proposal & Gathering, you’ll unlock the next quest in the series, The Culling of the Worms: Introduction. It involves completing the second Fulminating Sandstorm challenge, Introduction & Testing.

After completing the previous quest, fast-forward thein-game timeto 8:00 to 12:00 the next day. Then, head to the quest area west of the Sumeru desert, where you’ll encounter Vinayak and Shriya once again. This time, they need your help clearing out the environment so that the Wenutslayer Cannon can operate properly.
This challenge is similar to the first in that it involves picking up the Divine Benediction buff and defeating two waves of opponents across three rounds. However,Wenuts will occasionally pop upfrom the ground, which can knock you back and drain your HP.

Pay attention to the yellow indicator on the ground, which will appear when a Wenut is about to appear from the sand. If you don’t have a shield, try avoiding the yellow indicators to not get knocked back by the pesky Wenuts!
Once all the enemies have been defeated, the Charging Device at the center will unlock.Interactwith it to set it up. After that, use the Four-Leaf Sigils to head to the next challenge area, and repeat the same pattern until allthree Charging Deviceshave been set up.
After all Charging Devices have been set up, one last set of Four-Leaf Sigils will appear. Hook onto them to find the Wenutslayer Cannon by the edge of a cliff.Interactwith it to set it up, completing the challenge. Complete the dialogue with Vinayak and Shriya to complete the quest andunlock the next part of the series. Don’t forget toclaim rewards in the Event Details.
