The Genshin Impact Archon Quest Chapter III: Act VI - Caribert tells of the chilling tale of a Khaenri’ahn named Eide and his quest to save his Hilichurlian son, Caribert. After completingDestined Encounter, you’ll automatically begin the next segment called Fortune-Mocking Pedigree.

How to complete the Fortune-Mocking Pedigree quest in Genshin Impact – Caribert Archon Quest
The quest starts with an uncharacteristically missing Paimon, so go inside the nearby house to check on her. As youapproachthe house, you’ll be intercepted by an Intimidating Man. After the dialogue, interact with the leafy door to enter the house, triggering dialogue withEide.
After the dialogue, exit the house and head to the nearby field to speak with Eide once again. Then interact with thecrafting benchbehind him to produce theNameless Taboo Medicine of the Royal Court. The ingredients for it are the following:
In case you run out, you’re able to pick up both Kalpalata Lotus and Sumeru Rose on the cliff behind Eide. After crafting the medicine, you’ll unlock the Wonders of the World Achievement calledThe Sickness Unto Near-Death.

Next, speak to Eide, who’ll ask you to head to the nearby Statue of The Seven. You can’t teleport to it directly in this Archon Quest, so head to the edge of the cliff and use Four-Leaf Sigils to travel to the Statue. Approach theglowing spotto trigger the dialogue of Eide’s reluctant prayer.
Once that’s done, use the Four-Leaf Sigils to return to the quest area. Enter Eide’s house and interact withCaribertto administer medicine. While the effort was futile, you convince Eide to not give up.
Head to the waterfall near the Statue of The Seven. You’ll find aglowing spotat the foot of the waterfall, which you must interact with to obtain the Strange Mushroom-Watering Water. Once that’s done, use the Four-Leaf Sigils to return to the field in front of Eide’s house. Approach Eide to trigger dialogue and give him the special water.
Unfriendly fungi will appear as you guard the fields.Defeatthem to trigger dialogue with Eide. Once that’s done, pick up thetwo Strange Mushroomson the field. Head to the nearby crafting bench and create another Nameless Taboo Medicine of the Royal Court.
Once that’s done, use the Four-Leaf Sigils to head to theStatue of The Sevenonce again. Eide will spot a Hilichurl passing by. Out of concern that it might be Caribert, you must follow the Hilichurl’s trail. This concludes the Fortune-Mocking Pedigree quest, automatically unlocking the next segment of the Archon Quest calledA Lamenter at Fate’s End.
