Dehya’s first Story Quest, theMantichora Chapter: Act I - Lionbloodplaces her at the center of conflict between two of Genshin Impact’s notorious Eremite groups. Along the way, you discover bits of Dehya’s past—some that she isn’t proud of, and others that she will eventually come to terms with to pave a path forward.
The quest contains three segments, the third of which is calledSincerity’s Facade. Within this subquest, you’re able to enter a Domain calledBygone Glories Passed, where you can claim four Chests and solve three puzzles. Follow along to complete the Domain from start to end.
How to unlock Dehya’s Story Quest in Genshin Impact – Mantichora Chapter
To unlock the Mantichora Chapter: Act I - Lionblood you must first complete the following prerequisites:
Once those are done, head to the quest menu, then click onStory Questson the bottom left of the screen. You must spend oneStory Keyto unlock Dehya’s Chapter.
All Chest locations & puzzle solutions in Dehya’s Story Quest Domain in Genshin Impact
Below is a walkthrough of all the Chests you can get in the Domain, as well as the solutions for all of the beam puzzles. Keep in mind that it’s impossible to return to Story Quest Domains after you’ve exited, so ensure to loot all the Chests immediately to avoid missing out on them.
Battle
Upon entering the Domain, enter the large clearing and engage in battle against the Eremites. Throughout the Domain, you’ll be able to use Dehya as a trial character on the fifth slot. You need the engage against a few waves of Eremites, after which a cutscene and dialogue will trigger.
Puzzle #1
We recommend turning on the quest navigator for easier pathing. Enter the nearby room to proceed.
Inside, you need to solve a simple puzzle with two objectives. First, the color of both mechanisms must be the same. Second, the beam must be aligned between the diamonds on both mechanisms. To solve it, follow the steps below in the exact order:
This will solve the puzzle and trigger a nearby room to open.

Common Chest #1
Head toward the door that just opened and follow the path to proceed. At the end of the tunnel, you’ll find a locked Chest. Defeat the Primal Constructs to loot theCommon Chest. Once that’s done, follow the path to enter a room with another puzzle.
Puzzle #2
First, interact with the mechanism at the center. You mustrotate it twiceso that the purple diamond is facing the purple mechanism and the yellow diamond is facing the yellow mechanism. When correctly rotated, the mechanism will lower itself, allowing the two beams to pass through without obstacles.
Next, interact with theyellow mechanismandlowerit once so that the beam is aligned with the diamond on the opposite side. Doing so will solve the puzzle and unlock the door to the next room.
Common Chest #2 + Exquisite Chest
Enter the new room and follow the path forward to encounter a lockedCommon Chest. Defeat the Primal Constructs to unlock the Chest and loot it before proceeding.
Once that’s done, follow the path to the next room to find another locked Chest. Defeat another group of Primal Constructs to unlock anExquisite Chest. After claiming the Chest, climb the stairs upward to find the next puzzle.

Puzzle #3
This puzzle contains two groups of mechanisms: a yellow side (left) and a purple side (right). Let’s start on the yellow side on the western part of the room. Focus your attention on the mechanism in the middle.Rotate it four timesso that the diamond on the second layer is connected to the vertical beam (pictured above).
Next, interact with the mechanism with the horizontal beam, where the arrow is pointing above. You mustraise it twiceso that the beam connects with the diamond in front of it. This will prompt the mechanism in the middle to lower, allowing the horizontal beam to connect to the purple side.
Lastly, interact with the same mechanism andchange its color to purple.
Now we’ll work on the purple side on the eastern part of the room. Start by interacting with the mechanism in front. You need tochange its color to purple. This will cause the mechanism at the center to lower, allowing two purple beams to cross.
The last step is to interact with the same mechanism one more time. You need tochange its color back to yellowso that the beam matches the color of the diamond on the opposite end. This will solve the puzzle and open the door to the next room.
Final Battle + Precious Chest
Enter the next room to prompt a cutscene and dialogue. You need to defeat a few waves of Eremites. Once that’s done, loot thePrecious Chestat the top of the staircase. Step on thecenter of the elevatorto activate it and proceed with the rest of Dehya’s Story Quest.
