New Fortnite Competitive Format Explained

Arena

The competitive format for Arena isn’t changed, it still supports Solos, Duos, and Trios. The hype has been reset and you will need to reach Contender Rank to participate in cash-prized tournaments.

FNCS Major 2

The FNCS Major 2 begins on April 13 and a lot of changes to the format have been made. The Divisional Cups have been removed for this season to allow more players to compete, though they may make a return in future seasons with a better format. The FNCS will be duos and will combine the Thursday’s and Friday’s points into one, the top 50 duos from each division will qualify for the Weekly Finals. At the end of each weekly competition, every duo will gain Series Points, and the top 40 duos with the most Series Points across the three weeks will qualify for the Major.
