The new dungeon added in Final Fantasy XIV’s 6.4 Patch is the Aetherfont dungeon, which includes a journey to return to thee Isle of Hamm—an island with abundant wells of aether. The creatures here have been twisted by the intense energy. But what boons can you get for journeying to this strange isle? Here’s all unlocks and rewards for Aetherfont dungeon.
FFXIV Aetherfont dungeon rewards
The main draw of this dungeon is the Item Level 625 Distance gear, which is the current highest level Dungeon gear in the game. With the entry requirements for the latest raids and trials being a bit of a jump (going from 605 to 615 item level), this gear is useful for catching up. But truthfully, I think if you have any Tome gear, it’s kind of redundant.
Lyngbakr Boss Chest
For some reason, the chest on this first boss has a disproportionate number of Materia as possible drops. As a result, Materia drops are more common (and disappointing compared to gear).
Arkas Boss Chest
This chest contains mostly the hands and feet for the Distance set, as well as accessories. No materia this time.
Octomammoth
This is the main attraction of the Dungeon, giving you the Legs and Body of the Distance Set, as well as a chance at the OctomammothTriple Triadcard, the Puffin Minion, and the Orchestrion Roll. This is the only chest that drops the chest/body piece of the Distance set.
