There’s no doubt that Final Fantasy XVI has been one of my most anticipated games, and I pre-ordered it as soon as I could. While the pre-order bonuses were nice, they weren’t the main reason I pre-purchased FFXVI. However, I will absolutely claim them, including the Blood Sword. Claiming your pre-order bonuses, including the Blood Sword, will differ depending on whether you pre-ordered FFXVI physically or digitally. Those who purchased the gamephysicallywill need to check for a code, either sent through email or attached to the receipt. It may even be inside the game’s box. Here is how to redeem this code for FFXVI.

If you pre-ordered FFXVIdigitally, you don’t need to do this step, as your bonuses are bundled with the digital version. However, there is one final step you must complete before you can claim the Blood Sword and pre-order bonuses. Those who completed the FFXVI demo don’t need to worry about this though.
You cannot claim your pre-order bonuses until you havecompleted the A Chance Encountermain story mission. This comes in around two hours into the game, which is the length of the demo. Once you have reached this point in the game, a prompt will notify you that pre-order bonuses can now be claimed.
