On May 12, the Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXXVII was streamed live on Twitch, YouTube, and NicoNico, revealing some of the future of Final Fantasy XIV. The Live Letter, as it’s known to most, was once again hosted by FFXIV game director and lead producer Naoki “YoshiP” Yoshida and global community producer Toshio “Foxclon” Murouchi. Below we’ve broken down the key points and what we learned!
Final Fantasy XIV Live Letter Part LXXVII Summary
The event started off with the usual banter between YoshiP and Foxclon, with YoshiP seemingly unable to tear himself away from the Nintendo Switch, hinting (although not outright saying) he was playing Tears of the Kingdom or preparing to.

Job Adjustments for FFXIV 6.4
The Job/class tweaks for 6.4 were detailed following the rough patch breakdown. Apparently, these will primarily focus on adjustments to damage output rather than large-scale changes. This means buffs to lesser-played jobs and ones that feel very weak. In addition, the buff radius is being increased for most party buffs, in an overall buff to raiding and trials. In addition, the following tweaks will be made:
FFXIV PvP Update
PvP Series Four begins, and Season Seven of Crystalline Conflict will bring new rewards for players reaching the top 100 ranking or Diamond Tier. There are also plenty of tweaks and changes to the job actions in PvP, particularly YoshiP’s favorite class, Black Mage.
Frontlinewill receive a new UI element to help you track your score, which before was just detailed on the side of the screen in the quest log. Several of the Frontline locations have had their rules adjusted and maps changed, including a massive change to Fields of Glory (Shatter).
Final Fantasy XIV Additional Changes and Teases
YoshiP and Foxclon proceeded to show off some of the new weapons potentially available, as well as showing off a portion of the new Golbez-fighting trial, The Voidcast Dias. Then there were some new screens from the upcoming Raids, Pandaemonium: Anabaseios.
