Honkai Star Rail Update 1.2 is nearly upon us all, and with it comes a truly surprising amount of new content, especially for a gacha game. Hoyoverse is well known for harboring content droughts in their games. Genshin Impact is especially notorious for this specific problem. However, it seems that with Honkai Star Rail, Hoyoverse is taking community feedback very seriously. Here’s everything revealed to be coming in Star Rail version 1.2.
All New Content in Honkai Star Rail 1.2
1.2 is scheduled to release onJuly 18on whatever server you use. With that date comes a heap of content ranging from typical to downright generous. While the update contains some not-so-exciting stuff, overall, there are plenty of new playthings to go around.
New Characters
Update 1.2 is giving players the chance to obtain three new characters:
Blade and Kafka are both looking to shake up the meta with their new mechanics. Kafka, especially, offers and enables a playstyle that really does not exist in current Star Rail. Personally, she’s the one I’m going for, for this reason.
New Story Chapter
At last, the storyline that began at the end of Honkai Star Rail’s 1.0 release is finally getting a continuation with two new massive zones to explore:
These two new zones look radically different from the others we’ve been introduced to so far.
New Enemies
These new zones are home to brand new enemies to face, including the likes of a new Weekly Boss:
Additionally, two new Planar Sets are also being released:
New Events
Besides the major content mentioned above, 1.2 will also be introducing some new events throughout its lifespan:

An Expanded Simulated Universe
This one really caught me off guard. The popularSimulated Universeis getting its seventh world added in 1.2. While this itself is not surprising, what is surprising is how quickly this update to the mode is coming. I expected to see this a few more patches from now. Nevertheless, this is one addition I am really looking forward to.
A Free Character in the Forgotten Halls
The Forgotten Hall is also getting a nice update. Upon clearing the first stage, players will be rewarded with the powerful Yukong, all for free.Yukong is an Imaginary Harmony characterand provides a significant buff to her whole team when she uses her Skill. I highly recommend building her up because she is the only Imaginary character in the game that can be obtained for free.
