How to start A Lost Book quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To begin A Lost Book quest, players first need to reach level 4 with the Fairy Godmother. Make sure you complete the previous quests, such as theFire Alarm(level 2), and increase your friendship level to 4. You can also give her favorite items to increase the friendship level faster. When you do, speak to the Godmother, who will tell you what you need to do next.
She borrowed Merlin’s book, but now he wants it back. But unfortunately, the Godmother can’t find it. So, she needs your help to find Merlin’s book but before that, you need to help her fulfill the wishes of these villagers: Anna, Olaf, and Ursula.

How to make the Pumpkin Soup for Anna in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To make the Pumpkin Soup in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you need to gather the following items:
Gather all the items and pour them into the pot. Do not forget to use one piece of Coal Ore to start the cooking process. I used the kitchen at Chez Remy’s for making this dish. After you have prepared it, find Anna, and give it to her.
The Pumpkin Soup sells for1498 Star Coinsand can be consumed to replenish1431Energy.
How to find sticks for Olaf in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To collect sticks for Olaf, you need to head to these biomes: Forgotten Lands, Frosted Heights, Peaceful Meadow, Sunlit Plateau, and the Plaza. I found the majority of the sticks in theForgotten LandsandFrosted Heightsbiome. you’re able to collect any type of stick, such as Hardwood, Softwood, Dry Wood, or Dark Wood, but you need to pick100 sticks for Olaf.
Keep searching on the grounds of these above-mentioned biomes, and you will find the sticks. I collected all the different types of sticks as I found them scattered around these biomes. It took me a lot of time to gather 100 sticks. However, if you have been storing them in your house or inventory, you might save a lot of time.
After you have all the sticks, simply find Olaf, and give it to him.

How to gather Amethysts for Ursula in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To gather Amethysts, you need to go to theFrosted HeightsandForgotten Lands. It is a purple-colored gem, and you need to collect exactly three Amethysts. After you have collected them, head to Ursula and deliver the Amethysts.
It was really difficult to collect Amethysts, not that it’s rare, but you need to do a lot of mining to find it. I had to mine so many rock nodes to just find three of those gems. You might find a rare variant of the Amethyst known as the Shiny Amethyst. I found two while mining, but you cannot use it for A Lost Book quest. Hence, equip your pickaxe and start looking for Amethysts.
Once you are done delivering the Pumpkin Soup to Anna, Sticks to Olaf, and Amethysts to Ursula, head to the Fairy Godmother, who will tell you what to do next.
How to find Merlin’s Book in Disney Dreamlight Valley
When you speak to the Fairy Godmother, she will tell you that you need to help her find Merlin’s book. To do that, you need to clean her house. It’s very easy to do that, simply get closer to the objects andPress Eto remove the items as you do with the Night Thorns. I found the book right behind the sofa, beside the cabinet. You can check the image above to see where I found it.
After you find the book, Fairy Godmother will ask you to return it to Merlin. She will tell you to keep it back on the bookshelf on the left in the library.
How to keep Merlin’s book back on the shelf in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To keep the book back on the shelf, first, you need to head to Merlin’s house. His house is located at thePeaceful Meadow. Check the image above to see how it looks. Head inside, and you will see the bookshelf on the left. Move closer, and you will find the space glowing and interact with it. You will find the option totransferthe book from your inventory.
Now that the book is back on Merlin’s shelf head back to the Fairy Godmother. Speak to her one last time and that will conclude A Lost Book quest. That’s how you can easily complete this level 4 quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
