What is the new Ghosts of the Deep Exotic, The Navigator?
The Navigator is an ExoticStrandTraceRifle, meaning it synergizes with Destiny 2’s latest subclass and, once equipped, sits in theKineticslot.
When the dungeon debuted onMay 26, 2023, in Season of the Deep, I spent a good few hours figuring out the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon’s mechanics with my Fireteam in the hopes of scoring The Navigator after defeating the final boss, but we were unsuccessful. Iwillown it one day!
The Navigator Intrinsic Trait in Destiny 2
The weapon features theProtective Weave Intrinsic Trait, which, when shot at a teammate, gives both thewielderand anallytheWoven Mail buff. This makes The Navigator perfect for almost every group activity, whether it’s a Raid, Crucible, or Vanguard because the buff grants60% Damage Resistance for 10 seconds.
The Navigator unique Perk in Destiny 2
The other unique Perk that The Navigator has isWeft Cutter. Thisseverstargets afflicted with sustained damage, reducing their damage output. Again, this makes the Exotic a good pick for team activities where you can support your allies.

How to get The Navigator Catalyst and what it does in Destiny 2
I haven’t obtained the gun or its Catalyst myself, but according toSHI3LDSHI3LDon Reddit, it’s pretty straightforward.
You’ll notice a statue as you face each of the dungeon’s encounters. Look for astack of dead Ghostsnear each statue after the fights to gain abuff, then take that buff to the nearbystatue. This, according to the user, will spawn aboss. Defeat itthree timesbybringing the buff to each statue, and achestcontaining The Navigator Catalyst should appear.
The Navigator Catalyst adds an alternate fire thatcreates a grapple point, which is perfect for escaping enemy ambushes. I am so excited to get this, as it sounds broken as heck!
