Where to find the Deterministic Chaos Exotic Machine Gun in Destiny 2 Lightfall
After completing the Lightfall campaign, Guardians will need to speak with Nimbus in Neomuna to obtain the Exotic quest, Unfinished Business, for Deterministic Chaos. It is a 13-step quest.

Deterministic Chaos comes with two Exotic Perks, Heavy Metal and Vexadecimal.Heavy Metalturns every fourth bullet into a heavy projectile that weakens targets on impact.Vexadecimalturns every Heavy Metal shot (16th shot) into a round that also makes targets volatile on impact. The Catalyst unlocksFourth Time’s the Charmwhich returns two rounds to the magazine when rapidly landing precision hits.
