Uh oh; Bungie might have made a big oopsie doopsie. It would appear that in the early hours of the morning the Destiny 2 developer may have uploaded a new trailer forThe Final Shapebefore marking it private. You would normally think this would be the end of the story but the Internet said, “No. Absolutely not.”
New Destiny 2 The Final Shape trailer leaks
Update: Bungie posted the leaked trailer officially toTwitterat 12 pm ET.

The Destiny community, like the watchful eye of Sauron, quickly saved the video before it was pulled, which has since been spread about several Destiny 2 subreddits. As much as I would love to, I cannot link to the original post or the video itself as there is still a chance this is an elaborate hoax. After all, thiswouldn’t be the first timesomething was “leaked” and turned out to be a fabrication.

There isn’t any narration in the trailer. Instead, the 44-second trailer is a rundown of areas in thepreviously shown trailer for The Final Shape. In the2023 Destiny 2 Showcase, it was revealed as Guardians journey through the inside of the Traveler, they will encounter areas from the storied history of the franchise.
This leaked trailer takes place entirely within the Pale Heart of the Traveler. A team of Guardians starts in the original Tower before we see The Tree of Silver Wings on Io. There are several short clips of what appears to be the path walked by The Witness, including a cave and what might be an Ahamkara skull.
From there, we see the giant Ghost stuck in the side of a cliff, what appears to be a version of Mercury, and then Europa, Mars, or the Cosmodrome. Perhaps it’s all three as things are said to blend and shift here. From there, the landscapes and architecture start taking on a more twisted nature and begin resembling what we’ve seen in the various Pyramid ships. This all culminates in the previously released image of a cloudy tower before a title card appears which then prompts viewers to pre-order.
There’s not a lot shown here we haven’t already seen. Of course, various Destiny communities are already picking it apart and theorizing. You’re welcome to check it out, but until we get official confirmation from Bungie, all we can do is speculate.
