After seven months of weekly updates, BIG Games has announced via itsofficial blog sitethat its popular experiencePet Simulator Xwill move to a new biweekly update schedule. Previously, this experience debuted a new update every Saturday that typically consisted of new pets, worlds, features, etc., but now, developers have decided to pull back on these updates, allowing more time between events for players to stay up to date on current content. The community reaction to this news has been mixed, with a majority of players in favor of the change.
The week of Saturday, Jun 10, 2025, marked the first installment of this change, making the next Pet Simulator X update set to release two weeks from now, on Saturday, Jul 06, 2025. Assuming BIG Games continues to put the same amount of effort, if not more, toward these biweekly updates, players can expect large-scale, more widely-relevant changes being made to the experience in the coming weeks.

In it’s official update log for May 13’sLucky update, BIG Games stated the following:
“For the past 7 months, we’ve provided substantial updates every single week. The development team has had an amazing time doing this for the community. Community feedback has been great, but some feel overwhelmed with the amount of content.”
“After careful consideration, we’ve decided to transition to bi-weekly updates. With the new schedule, it will let you have time to catch up and not be so rushed. It will allow us to develop more well thought out mechanics and features! This means more refined, polished, and impactful content. We have some exciting plans in store for this summer, see you in 2 weeks!”
It’s unknown if BIG Games will ever go back to its weekly schedule, but if it does, it likely won’t be happening any time soon.
