Find the Nightsong is one of the quests of Act I in Baldur’s Gate 3 that you’re able to obtain in Druid Grove. It’s a main quest, and its completion is necessary to move the in-game story forward. A Wizard is offering a huge sum of money to anyone who brings him the Nightsong, located in the temple that became part of the Goblin camp. I admit I had difficulty in more than one section of this complex quest, so if you need assistance, this guide will help you!
How to complete the Find the Nightsong quest in BG3
To successfully complete the Find the Nightsong quest in Baldur’s Gate 3, you must first uncover the path into theUnderdark, an area beneath the Blighted Village that contains somedangerous fungus. It is a hostile place, and I recommend that you save often. There are several ways to gain access to Underdark, and one of them is by completingMoon Puzzlein the Defiled Temple.
While threading the Underdark area, you will encounter clouds of purple mist which cause hallucinogenic effects. Afterward, you will have an encounter with one of two possible bosses:

Eventually, you will discover a colony of Myconid north of Underdark, a race of humanoid mushrooms that are currently fighting a war with a subrace of Dwarves called Duergar. You will be faced with a choice of peacefully approaching them or attacking them on the spot. I have managed to get them to be neutral toward me to make my life easier, and I recommend you do the same by using Insight and Persuasion checks during the dialogue. If you fail any checks or attack them on the spot, it will turn all of them against you, dragging you into extended combat.
Should you ally with Myconid or Duergar in the Nightsong Quest in Baldur’s Gate 3?
During your adventure in the Underdark, you will be given a choice of allying with Myconid or Duergar in BG3. You will be able to find Duergar at Underdark Beach. Whichever choice you make will not create a giant impact on the overall storyline or affect your character in any meaningful way since there is no karmic wheel and, by proxy, no true right or wrong in Baldur’s Gate 3. The Duergar attacked me on sight because I broughtSovereign Glutwith me while completing the “Defeat the Duergar Intruders” side quest.
Moreover, if you decide to help theMyconidin their fight, you will have to choose to side with Spaw or Glut at the end of the conflict.

Should you choose Spaw or Glut during the Nightsong Quest in Baldur’s Gate 3?
After the conflict with Duergar comes to an end during the Nightsong Quest in BG3, Glut’s plans to usurp Spaw as the Sovereign will be unfolded. You will have a choice to side with either of them.
After looting the chamber, return to the Beach area in the Underdark to board the raft, which will take you to the Moonrise Towers, where you can continue your quest.
